I personally don't agree with this survey because I don't have interest in working in with the government or public administration. I am interested in the careers that I ranked the next highest in though, such as health science and STEM. I feel like this does not correctly describe me though overall.
Naviance Career Interest Survey
Survey taken on February 5, 2018 Results:
What was your experience taking the assessment?
When I was taking the assessment, I found that although I didn't know the answers yet, it confirmed my interests and showed me possible jobs that I did not know about.
Which one of the top three do you relate to most?
Of top three I related the most to being artistic, even though that wasn't the top score. Recently I have found myself being more artistic and creative, and now that I have started including that into my school work regularly, I have been having more fun with my projects.
How accurately do the results reflect you?
I think the results show that I am a creative person who also has a technical thinking side, which would be great for jobs that involve both.
What specific jobs were intriguing to you?
Some specific jobs that were listed that I found intriguing were astronomy, video editor, and creative writer.
What did it confirm for you?
This survey confirmed that I am interested in science, and it is a career option for me. It also confirmed that although I'm not looking in the field of working with/helping people that some careers such as a psychiatrist would be interesting because I am interested in the human brain.
What don’t you agree with?
I thought that I would score higher in the artistic category, which I disagree with a little.
What surprises did you find out about yourself?
Something that I found out that was surprising was that I scored so high on having investigative traits.
How do you want to use this information going forward?
I want to use this information going forward to help me decide on a college that is right for me, and help me discover more about what areas I accel in.
